Procrastinating...

Ohmygoodness... where has the time gone?

I was doing so well, too.

I had to travel a bit for work towards the end of April and beginning of May, so I got out of my nice little routine for awhile.

We finally got all of our Paris photos on Flickr organized. What a project! Jon took over 8,000 photos, so sorting through and editing was a challenge. (Don't worry... we didn't put them all on Flickr.)

I'll put the links on here by day, since that is how they are organized on Flickr:

(each link is only that day's photos, so you have to click on each page at the bottom to see all of the photos for that day.)

Day 10 Wednesday we spent the day at the Palace of Versailles and the Palace Gardens, including Marie Antoinette's little retreat house and gardens. It was really, really amazing - we ended up spending 7 hours there! My feet really hurt the next day. smile. But we got lots of lovely photos. (take a peek!)

Day 11 Thursday was spent in Versailles, watching some of the world's best painters/artists paint at Salon and walking around the town of Versailles, going to visit the market. It was such a pretty little town!

Day 12 Friday was also spent mostly in Versailles at Salon, and Jon went back to take more photos of Marie Antoinette's gardens. Jon and I finally made it to the Eiffel Tower on Friday night and it was a little scary! I'm really scared of heights, so I only made it to the first level (there are three total). But Jon got some great photos from the second level.

Day 13 Saturday morning, Jon and I got up early to head up to Montmartre, a fun, quirky little part of Paris. It ended up being our favorite part of Paris! It's always been the artsy neighborhood and when we got to the little town square, there were a ton of artists with all their artwork set up. We got a beautiful watercolor that was painted of the square, to remind us of our favorite neighborhood!
Also in the Montmartre area is the iconic Sacre Couer church, built on a hill that overlooks Paris, so we had a beautiful view of the city at night.

Day 14 Our last day in Paris! It was also the last day of Salon, so we spent most of the day in Versailles and then went back to Montmartre to spend our last evening. It was a lovely trip and we can't wait to go back!
