Because of all this Denver craziness, we had to scrap our original plans of travelling to Michigan the first two weeks of September. It was a sad day for me. But, we decided that we still needed a vacation, however quick and simple.
Our good friends have a house down in Palm Desert (Palm Springs area) and have been encouraging us to go down for a relaxing visit, and we finally took them up on it.
It was lovely. We sat by the pool, read books, hardly took any photos, slept, and just r e l a x e d.
Also, Brett and Jamie paid us a visit over the weekend. It was great to see them!
Of course, no photos... that would be too much work.
It was just what we needed.
