Last year we invited our friend Lucy to stay the night with us and get up early with me Saturday morning to save a good parade-watching spot.
So, this year, we invited her brother Oscar (to make it fair, you see). And my cousin Logan (to make it more enjoyable for Oscar).

It was really fun having the boys stay over, and they didn't seem to mind waking up at 6:30 am.
(Jon did, though.)
The parade was fun to watch . . . even in the rain. We came prepared with a canopy and lots of blankets. It was a long wait before the parade, but we were entertained with hopscotch, clowns, lots of kids running around, and Logan's break-dancing.

Cheryl met us with Lucy and her friend, and our friends Joel and Katie came too, with little Leland. We didn't get too many photos of them, but it was still fun having the company!
